It's a sunny Saturday and it's finally time to have a read of the book in real life! We haven't been brave enough to read it in the flesh yet. We're petrified of any glaring mistakes jumping off the page! But with a cup of tea and a bar of @tonyschocolonely in hand it's finally time to give it a spin! We've almost fully recovered after a cracking, full on weekend at The Overland Event. You may have seen that as well as launching our book we were also quite often seen frantically running around, camera in hand, jumping from talk to talk. This is because, as we've mentioned before, we also decided to bring The Armchair Adventure Festival to the event! In a year where numbers were restricted and many of you couldn't make it because of COVID we decided to make a virtual version of the event! The plan was to share this with you this coming weekend but because we've manage to capture so much (over 15 hours of adventure content) as well as some behind the scenes interviews, we're going to have to push it back a week. Well what a weekend that was!! We had an absolutely brilliant time at this year's @overlandevent!! It was fantastic to catch up with so many friends and brilliant to meet so many Armchair Adventurers in real life!! Really so great to hang out and chat adventure, in real life, in the sun, with a pint in hand!! Maybe too many pints in hand! Thanks so much to everyone who bought a book and came over to chat! Lots more pictures coming up during the week but thought we had to share this corker from @jockeselin straight away! @tysonpaddy and @sauljeavons somehow booked beautiful weather again and we were treated to a few awesome sunsets. The outdoor, open air mainstage was up there with the best stages we've ever spoken on and it was awesome to be able to share @reecegilkes' film on the big screen. We're just checking out the footage from this year's event this morning and we'll be working on getting it online as soon as possible for the virtual version of the event.
