Where is Claire? Travel Grant winner is off on an epic adventure!

And she is off! Having won last years #GetOutDoStuff Adventurers Choice award, Claire Roberts is officially on her way cycling to Athens on a daily budget of just £7 - the basic amount an asylum seeker is given to live on in the UK. So far, she's completed the whole of the Welsh coast, cycled to Brighton and headed south to Bournemouth just as the weather is beginning to get a little colder! Speaking with her the other day she was just about to board a ferry to St Malo before beginning to cycle the new tour de France route from Mont St Michele to Nantes. Overall, she's 800 miles in with 17,000 to go having raised £1198.79 her chosen charity Choose Love so far. If you'd like to follow Claire follow her on instagram at @madlobster75. Good luck Claire! We'll be following you he whole way!
If you've not seen already, we are now accepting applications for this years #GetOutDoStuff travel grant and the response has already been great. If you are planning an adventure, we would absolutely love to hear about it. You can apply for the grant here and who knows, you could be on the Main Stage at the next Armchair Adventure Festival telling us all about it!
We're hoping Claire will be back from her adventure in time for next years Armchair Adventure Festival to tell us all about how she got on. Whether she is or isn't the line up of speakers for AAF25 is shaping up to be absolutely fantastic. Not got your tickets yet?
