Like what you see? Good news! The Armchair Adventure Festival is returning to Mount Edgcumbe Country Park in Cornwall from 25th-28th July 2024!

#AAF23 was our biggest and best festival yet so we're sticking with our summer dates for #AAF24! This years festival will run from 15:00 on 25th July to 15:00 Sunday 28th July. It will be jam packed with more talks, activities and live music than ever before and be another gigantic celebration of adventure travel!

As always the weekend will be centred around inspiring tales of adventure from some of the world's leading adventurers. In 2023, we had tales from a man who accidentally invented white water rafting while completing the first descent of the Nile in the 1960s and a woman who ran a marathon in Antarctica dressed as a frozen pea, who knows what crazy tales of adventure will have in 2024!?

On top of that there will be more fun activities to get involved in than ever before. Whether it's kayaking up the Tamar or sailing around Drake's Island, we'll be making the most of the UK's National Marine Park in Plymouth Sound which is just a five minute walk from the festival. There will also be another funky line-up of amazing live musicians and the usual fantastic food and drink!

What's on at #AAF23?

🌎 Listen to inspirational talks from some of the world’s leading adventurers!

☀️ Relax in the glorious Cornish sunshine.

🍻 Enjoy a local craft beer in 'The Three Wheels' - our festival pub.

🚵‍♀‍ Borrow a mountain bike and explore the local area and stunning grounds.

🧘🏽‍♀️ Start the day off right by heading to the Wellness Zone for morning yoga or ice cold dip!

🛶 Take a 5 minute walk to the beach and hire out a kayak or paddleboard.. with dolphins.

⛵ Sail Plymouth Sound with RTW Yachtsman Conrad Humphreys.

🔥Roast marshmallows round the campfire whilst listening to stories of adventure.

⛺Take part in a survival workshop and learn to forage, build a shelter and start a fire.

🍔Try the delicious range of street food.

🕺Enjoy live music and dance the night away!
