We are bringing the world’s leading adventurers to the glorious Mount Edgcumbe Country Park in Cornwall! The Armchair Adventure Festival is returning and it's going to be better than ever before! You'll be able to watch talks and films from your favourite adventurers, step out of your armchair, stretch your legs and go on your own adventure with kayaking, mountain biking, adventure motorcycling and other activities available, and listen to some of the best live bands the South West has to offer! Our incredible venue means you can unzip your tent, take a dip in the ocean and enjoy a full weekend of adventure!
TALKS FROM WORLD LEADING ADVENTURERS
If you are heading to The Armchair Adventure Festival be prepared to leave inspired! Each year we assemble an all star line up of world leading adventurers. The only difference between #AAF21 and #AAF22 is the speakers are going to be even better!
Whether they've been rowing an ocean, cycling a continent, hiking a mountain or travelling the world by motorcycle, if it involves adventure travel, we love it and we think you will too! Don't miss the chance to hear some of the best adventure travel stories out there at next years festival.
The Armchair Adventure Festival stage has played host to all kinds of adventurers including Channel 4's Conrad Humphreys and Alex Bescoby (pictured).
INCREDIBLE LIVE MUSIC
After a full day of adventure on the Rame Peninsula, you might be forgiven for wanting to kickback in your armchair to admire the view, well sorry, there's no chance of that! We book the best bands the South West has to offer and you'd have to be tied down to not find yourself dancing away to the eclectic line up of live acts on our Main Stage!
At the 2021 festival we found ourselves bouncing to the funky Latin beats of Malavita and The Cabarats before jumping in to 'The Big Drop' from Plymouth's own Land Of The Giants.
The incredibly talented Bailey Tomkinson and Rodney Branigan also picked up their guitars and plucked a tune or two as the sun dropped across the festival.
With the sunsetting on the Tamar estuary behind the Main Stage it would be hard to find a more atmospheric place for live music!
ADVENTUROUS ACTIVITIES
"Fancy paddle boarding with Dolphins? Come to The Armchair Adventure Festival" is what we said in the build up last year. To be honest we didn't think it would actually happen but sure enough a pod joined us for the full weekend!
Ask anyone who jumped in down at Barn Pool beach at #AAF21 and we'd be surprised if they said they didn't have some kind of interaction with the local dolphins.
That's not all though and there are all sorts of adventurous activities for you to get involved including mountain biking, kayaking, foraging and much, much more. Check out the full list of activities on the activity page and don't forget, more will be added soon!
