Welcome to the adventure!

The Armchair Adventure Festival is the world’s first all-live virtual adventure festival! Throughout 2020 we hosted two festivals and five film nights featuring the world’s most adventurous people. Over 5,000 of you joined us for the live, virtual events and in doing so you raised over £12,500 for charity. Our next event is The Armchair Adventure Bootcamp! With workshops on everything from funding to photography, it’s a crash course on how to make that dream trip a reality, and how to capture the memories when you go.

Take me to Bootcamp!

  4. Sarah Outen

    Sarah Outen

In search of adventure and charting her way through grief at the sudden death of her father, at 24 Sarah Outen became the first woman and youngest person to row solo across the Indian Ocean. This then led to her London2London:Via the World journey - a 4.5 year 25000 mile loop of the planet using human power. Rowing, cycling and kayaking around the northern hemisphere, the journey was all the richer for not turning out exactly as planned. These days Sarah is training to become a psychotherapist and adventuring more locally to home with her wife and three donkeys. Sarah will be doing a live Q&A after a screening of her incredible film 'Home' and a live workshop on Ocean Rowing.
